Elden Ring Armor Tier List boasts a wide plethora of 120 sets of armor.
With this, players can choose to go wild with the best combination for different armor pending different requirements.
However, players do not usually do this with the exception being experimental cases.
This is as there is a need for pliable and durable armor that can withstand and recover quickly because of this a perfect set just about always ranks high on every player’s agenda.
Whilst the list will NOT be a ranking, it should be stated that making the cut will be mostly subjective based on my experience in-game.
This means that your favourite piece of armor may not have made my cut simply because Godrick the Grafted gave me a hard time with said armor on.
With that said, to make up for my deficiencies, objective looks will inform which weapons make it to which Tier Classes.
1. Black Knife Set
Medium. Hood is S-Tier. Armor is B- Tier. Gauntlets, and Greaves being D-Tier.
Won by Black Knife Assassins. The armor is stylish and muffles the wearers movements.
This is a formidable choice for the Assassin-type players who are overly confident in their dodging, and sneak abilities as the defense stats are on the low side.
2. General Radahn’s Set
Armor is heavy. Armor is S-Tier. Gauntlet, greaves, and helm are A-Tier.
This armor is pure brag for a variety of reasons; to get it means you defeated the Red Lion General, Starscourge Radahn, a powerful demigod who is the best warrior in Elden Ring.
More to this, it has great defensive stats, and is incredibly stylish.
3. Mushroom’s Set
Light. Crown is S-Tier; the arms, body, head, and legs are A-Tier.
You can find this set on a corpse near the South-Eastern corner of Lake of Rot. The rest of the pieces can be found at Seethewater Cave.
It boasts tremendous resistance to blight, poison, and rot.
4. Royal Remains Set
Heavy. Helm is S Tier. Armor is B Tier. Greaves is D Tier.
Notable for steady healing owing to its ability to provide slow regeneration when the health bar is on the low, this armor isn’t one to let you down either with its all-round stats, if you can put up with the gothic design.
The armor is obtained after defeating Ensha of the Royal Remains
5. Twinned Armor Set
Heavy. Crown is S Tier. Armor is B Tier. Gauntlets, Greaves are C Tier. Helm is D Tier.
This armor is got from D hunter at Roundtable.
The armor portrays the entwined gods of silver and gold. It incredibly enhances defense.
6. Banished Knight Set.
Heavy. Armor is A Tier.
The set can be found by killing Banished Knight enemies.
The armor makes the list for being the most common set owing to its stats that are enough to see to it that you make it through the mid-game.
7. Crucible Sets
Heavy. Axe Armor and Helm are A Tier. Gauntlets are C Tier.
There are two sets of Crucible Knight Armor; the Crucible Axe Set and the Crucible Tree Set.
The former is obtained by defeating Crucible Knight Ordovis, while Crucible Knight Siluria grants the player the other.
They are comparable in stats with both sets notably granting player plenty of poise, defense and low weight.
The main differentiating factor will come down to taste as they have slightly differing styles.
8. Lionel’s Set
Heavy. Armor, Gauntlets, Greaves, Helm is A Tier.
While a bit low on the aesthetics score, Lionel’s set boasts strong defense, and poise stats.
Making the set even more appealing is the fact that unlike Bull-Goat which involves boss fights, this can be got in Lower Capital Church from the bed itself.
9. Malformed Dragon Set
Heavy. Armor, Gauntlets, Greaves, Helm is A Tier.
It is obtained by defeating the Draconic Tree Sentinel.
This really comes in handy in late game with many dragons, and enemies having a knack for dealing lightning damage.
The armor boasts the second highest lightning resistance in the game.
10. Raptors Black Feather Set
Medium. Black Feathers are A Tier.
The defensive attributes aren’t some to get mad at but where this armor shines brightest are when donned by Bandit class. It greatly enhances the jump attack damage.
11. Veteran’s set
Heavy. Armor, Gauntlets, Greaves are A Tier.
Obtaining this set means defeating Commander Niall, one of the hardest bosses in the game.
It is a great all-round armor in terms of stats and weight.
12. Spellblade’s Set
Light. Gloves, Travelling Attire, Trousers, are A Tier.
Obtained through Ranni’s questline, on the corpse of Sorcerer Rogier.
It is light-weight, with high focus, magical defense and vitality. It however, does not boost incantations.
13. Tree Sentinel Set
Heavy. Armor, Gauntlets, Greaves is A Tier.
This bulky yet glamorous set boasts defensive stats good enough to give Radahn’s set a run for its money.
It is well rounded and stylish.
It is got by defeating the Tree Sentinel Boss, and destroying the Chariots in Altus Plateau.
14. Blaidd’s Set
Heavy. Armor, greaves is B Tier. Gauntlets is C Tier.
For characters not going down the heavy armor route, this is well suited to them, and it has fairly balanced stats favorable for the early and mid-game portion of the game.
More to that it is incredibly stylish with the dark steel and wolf-fur cloak contrasting perfectly.
It is got upon slaying Blaidd.
15. Bull-Goat Set
Heavy. Armor, Gauntlets, greaves and Helm is B Tier.
This armor boasts the highest defensive stats in the game enough to make it a top contender for best armor in the game.
However, it is a major letdown aesthetically, and the heavy weight of the set.
16. Hoslow’s Set
Heavy. Greaves and Helm are B Tier. Gauntlets are C Tier.
Touted by some reviewers as the ‘Best of All Worlds Armor,’ this stylish armor is won by Juno Hoslow, an NPC player can defeat during the Volcano Manor questline.
The set is overly well-balanced trading stats for style.
Conclusion (ELDEN RING ARMOR TIER LIST)
In conclusion, Elden Ring arguably a GOAT video game doubles down on the wealth of the open world and world-building to bring out all sorts of bosses depending on a player’s questline.
With this, one can expect to face up (or not) against the game’s best Bosses with the opportunity to get their armor.
